The three-movement sonata in G minor, plays a special role among the sonatas of Leone: refined and complicated mandolin techniques, virtuoso scales and difficult chord sequences make the work highly challenging - one can see it as the most demanding of the currently known sonatas for mandolin of the 18th century. The performer must have a perfectly trained classical mandolin technique. The length of the work demands a very good condition. The difficulty of the work and the musical result are in good agreement.
