The title of the original edition from the first half of the 18th century indicates that the sonata was intended for a melody instrument (violin, flute, mandolin) and general bass.
The sonata is full of Baroque beauty. His contemporaries praised Boni's compositional art and placed it stylistically and structurally close to Arcangelo Corelli.
